Spring Bedding: Kate Spade Makes the Grade!

The wiz of whimsy Kate Spade brings her girly goodness into the bedroom with her new line of bedding, available at Bed Bath & Beyond this April. These bold, statement beds are just what I would expect from Mrs. Spade. Even a sheet set or a pair of shams from this collection would awaken the most tired of rooms. I have a feeling that these little numbers are going to fly off the shelves!

Fairmont Stripe, below, is sure to be on many-a wedding registry this summer.

Heirloom Roses, below, and Gardner Street, bottom, are versatile: the duvets are reversible and you can mix and match pieces to add a touch of of cheer to a black and white bedroom.

I bear just the sort of news we need on this rainy NYC day: West Elm launched its first ever kitchen collection today! From table linens to bar ware, one could practically outfit an entire kitchen with this new line. And no matter your taste, you will find something in this collection to tickle your fancy. Or, shall we say, brighten your (rainy) day.

Modernists will fall in love with the Pop Measuring Cups:

The Acacia Slabs would make the perfect cheese and fruit board for naturalists:

The fabulous hostess can switch it up with funky patterned plates for for indoors and out. A Moroccan bazaar theme one night, a pool-side soiree the next!

In honor of Earth Day, I would like to introduce you to a vendor that serves as a wonderful resource for environmentally-friendly design. Stone Source carries stone, tile, and wood for home decor and offers over twenty product lines featuring sustainable qualities. Among its offerings are porcelain tile made from 50% recycled content, Boneyard brick made from 100% recycled content, Glass Mosaic tiles made from 98% recycled content, and reclaimed wood. I also must mention how beautiful stone and tile look in a home! You can really get creative with the products that Stone Source offers by mixing different colors and textures. The wealth of options offered by the company will surely help you make your home truly your own!

In preparation for Earth Day tomorrow, here’s an idea to make your morning java a bit more environmentally-friendly. This porcelain cup with a silicon lid and sleeve is a fun twist on your everyday, to-go cup. These cups will look very stylish in a contemporary kitchen, but my favorite thing about them is that they are dishwasher and microwave safe.
